NHS Referrals:

NHS referrals must be made through your GP or Opticians to Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre, Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust.

Private Referrals:

Private referrals could be made to one of my private clinics. You can call the outpatient departments of one of the private hospitals listed to make an appointment.

Alternatively, you can call my PA, Lily, on 07891138181 to make an appointment.

A referral letter from your GP or Optician would be helpful, but it isn't necessary.

Pre-authorisation from your private health insurance company before consultation would be necessary for the first consultation.

Pre-authorisation from your private health insurance company would be necessary before any diagnostic investigations and surgical procedures.

Some private health insurance schemes may not cover follow-up consultations or the full surgeon fees for some complex operations; patients must pay for the shortfall.

Invoices for self-pay patients will be sent after consultations, but all investigations and surgical procedure fees must be paid in advance.

Payment Options:

• Direct electronic bank transfer (account details will be on invoices)
• Credit card and debit card payments are accepted at the Newmedica clinic
• Personal cheques are acceptable, but funds must be cleared before investigations or procedures
