NHS Referrals:

NHS referrals must be made through your GP or Opticians to my clinics at Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre. 

We are committed to keep within the NHS waiting time targets of 18 weeks from referral to treatment.

A team of highly qualified doctors, allied professionals are working in my team at Birmignham and Midland Eye Centre. Patients will be treated by my team members under my close supervision.

Private Referrals:

Private referrals could be made to one of my private clinics. You can call the out-patient departments of one of the private hospitals listed to make an appointment.

A referral letter from your GP or Optician would be helpful but not necessary.

Pre-authorisation from your private health insurance company prior to consultation would be necessary for first consultation.

Pre-authorisation from your private health insurance company would be necessary prior to any diagnostic investigations and surgical procedures.

Some private health insurance schemes may not cover follow-up consultations or the full surgeon fees for some complex operations, patients will need to pay for the shortfall.

Invoices for self-pay patients will be sent after consultations but all investigations and surgical procedure fees must be paid in advance.

• Direct electronic bank transfer (account details will be on invoices)
• Credit card and debit card payment can be made by phone 0789 1138181
• Personal cheques are acceptable but funds must be cleared prior to investigations or procedures
